Support the John Schofield Trust

We are fortunate to have the generous support of CNN, Martin Lewis of MoneyExpertSaving.com, Sky News and Vodafone.

But if we are to succeed in our mission to unlock social mobility across the UK news industry, we will need a sustained funding base.

Our income comes solely from our fundraising. We don’t charge any application or joining fees to our participants. All mentors and speakers at our events are volunteers.

Our goal is to support young people across the news industry.  To do that we now need to have the financial support of the news industry.

Please can you help? If you or your employer can help the John Schofield Trust in any way – no matter how small – please contact our Manager, Cathy Farmer

Sponsored run by our trustee

As our lead trustee on fundraising, Kate Riley is bravely donning her running shoes to run a half-marathon in aid of the Trust. Kate’s taking part in the Thames Meander on 3 November. Kate says: ‘I believe so passionately in the work that we’re doing to combat social mobility in UK newsrooms. We urgently need to raise money so we can fulfil our goals.’ You can sponsor Kate here
