Sophia, a Trust 2022 Fellow, has been appointed Sky News’ Specialist Producer on Security & Defence. She will be working alongside Deborah Haynes, the broadcaster’s Security & Defence Editor.

Sophia has been a Foreign News Editor for the past three years, having previously worked in Brussels as Europe Producer.

She previously worked with Deborah on the Sky News foreign affairs podcast ‘Into the Grey Zone’.

Sophia said: “I couldn’t be more excited to be taking on this role. Deborah Haynes is an inimitable journalist and, in such a challenging global context, there truly hasn’t been a more significant time to cover security and defence.”
