Rochelle Newman tells Guardian what its like to be black in TV industry

One of this year’s mentees, Rochelle Newman, was interviewed by the Guardian for a feature on what it is like being black and working in the TV industry.

In it she says how ‘I’ve been told by a white, male producer that I’m lucky to be in the industry’.

Rochelle’s mentor, the BBC’s Mark Daly, tweeted proudly: ‘My brilliant @JSchofieldTrust mentee @Rochellesnewman in today’s Guardian on being black in the Britain’s TV industry’.
