#JSTmasterclass: Fill…fill…fill… The joys of live presenting

Chris Mason and Reeta Chakrabarti

Reeta Chakrabarti and Chris Mason shared their tips on how to make the challenging business of live TV presenting look easy at our masterclass on 18 March at 7.30pm.

Reeta, who was on presenting duty on BBC News on 31 October 2020, as the nation held its breath waiting for Boris Johnson to announce the second national lockdown. In the event, Reeta had to fill the airwaves for three hours, stretching interviews and working around non-existent packages. Chris Mason, who assisted her on the day, joined her to reflect on their broadcasting marathon and the sickening realisation that it would go on… and on.’
