Current mentee Laura has accepted a job as a journalist at BBC Breakfast.
She’ll be making the move from London to Manchester later in the summer.
Laura says “I’ve been freelancing across BBC Radio 4’s sequence news programmes for the last two years (with brief stints at NBC News and Times Radio too), so I’m very excited to have secured my first contract with the BBC. I have loved my time working in radio but I’m really looking forward to broadening my production skills and learning more about making TV news. It’s an incredible programme and I can’t wait to get started!”
“I’m hugely grateful to my JST mentor James Scurry for all of his support over the last couple of months – his advice has been invaluable during the job application and interview stages. Thanks to both him and the Trust!”
