2022 Fellow Hamish Auskerry has been made a permanent on-screen journalist with ITV Wales.

Hamish grew up in the Orkney Islands exclusively consuming radio, but has now secured a role on screen.

He says: “I joined ITV Wales in August 2018 as a trainee Production Journalist. After around 18 months working as an on-screen journalist on secondment in Guernsey for ITV Channel and here in Wales, I was awarded a permanent contract this week! I’m hugely excited because it’s a job that I love, and it’s great to feel like a proper long-term part of our amazing on-screen team here. I’ve had some amazing advice and encouragement from such a lot of people since I started in this industry as a teenager, and I’m hugely grateful to everyone for helping me get here.”
