Current JST mentee Azana Francis has been shortlisted for an award for outstanding journalism.
The award, run by XCity magazine, recognises the contribution of alumni of City, University of London’s journalism courses.
Azana, who completed her MA in Broadcast Journalism at City in 2018, currently works as a producer on BBC Newsnight.
She has been nominated for her work for the BBC, through which she tries to engage young and diverse audiences.
In a tweet Azana wrote:
