We invite all talented young journalists to apply for the mentoring scheme. Those chosen by the selection panel will become a Trust Fellow and be matched with an experienced journalist, one of our Senior Fellows, for a year-long mentoring programme.

To be considered as a possible mentee on the John Schofield Trust journalist apprentice/non-graduate mentoring scheme, you need to meet the following criteria:
To be eligible for selection applications must include a reference. If you are an apprentice/trainee we need to have a reference from your course leader or the person who is in charge of the apprenticeship/ training scheme you are on.
Being a John Schofield Trust mentee will put you in direct contact for a year with some of the leading journalists in British broadcasting. To help us make a fair selection from the applicants, we need you to provide three things:
