Applications for our 2022 mentoring scheme closed at midnight on 30 September, and more people than ever before have applied!

The number of applications was up by more than 25% on last year, and last year was itself a record year for the Trust.

David Stenhouse, the Trust’s CEO, said: ‘We are delighted that so many talented journalists have turned to the Trust to support their professional ambitions and contribute to the diversification of the news media. We have a lot of reading to do now, and we’re looking forward to it!’

Over the next few weeks the Trust will be processing all the application forms and their references, selecting the cohort of mentees for 2022 and matching them to mentors.

Our mentees for 2022 will be announced in November.
