Fellows Victoria Elms and Jack Taylor, both on the 2023 early career programme, have been shortlisted for the Digital Storytelling category of the Future of Media Awards 2023.

Victoria said “I’m so pleased to see our work across two stories recognised by the Future of Media Awards. Both stories demonstrate the power of combining open-source investigation with on-the-ground reporting. This is particularly true of the Ukraine’s Missing Children story, where war crimes investigators say our findings help build the case that Russia is engaged in “cultural genocide” in Ukraine.”

Both of them worked – in varying capacities – on the stories titled “Ukraine’s Missing Children” and “How Mariupol is becoming Russia’s Model City in Ukraine” for Sky News.
