Thanks to Kate and Anand

Kate Riley and Anand Shukla

Thank you to our Trustees Kate Riley and Anand Shukla who formally stood down from our Board this month.

Susie Schofield, Chair of Trustees, said, “I would like to thank Kate and Anand for their tireless work on behalf of the John Schofield Trust. As a former managing editor of news at BBC News, Kate brought a wealth of journalism experience as well as expertise on managing mentoring relationships, and Anand brought his insight and skill of leading charities to the board table. Both readily rolled their sleeves up to ensure the continuing success and growth of the Trust.

I have enjoyed working with both Kate and Anand immensely, learned much from them, and admired their calm and scrupulously fair approach with all our business dealings. On a personal level, I will miss their counsel and wit dreadfully but know they will remain as friends to the Trust.”

David Stenhouse, CEO of the Trust, said, “Kate and Anand have given invaluable advice during a period of change and growth for the Trust. I would like to thank them for all the support they have given me since I took over as the Trust’s Chief Executive.”

In their stead, the Trust welcomes Sunita Bhatti, Senior News Editor of the Learning and Identity team at BBC News, and Alison Comyn, award-winning Irish journalist, news anchor and broadcaster, to the Board of Trustees.
