In light of the extraordinary events which have kept journalists so busy over the last week, we’ve decided to extend the deadline to apply for our 2023 early career mentoring scheme.

Applicants now have until 23:59 on 07 October to get their form and references over to us. 

We know that many journalists have been busy, focusing and putting in extra shifts to cover events as they emerge, and we want to give everyone considering the scheme a fair chance to get those applications in to us.

If you’ve recommended the scheme to friends or colleagues, please make sure they’re aware they now have that extra bit of thinking time before we close applications for this year. 

We’re very much looking forward to reading all your applications and can’t wait to welcome a whole batch of new journalists to our Fellowship. If you’re considering applying, don’t hesitate – just go for it. Good luck!
