John Schofield Trust mentee Tim O’Callaghan has been successful in securing his first contract in journalism at ITV Calendar in Leeds.

Before this Tim worked as a freelance journalist for ITV Granada Reports.

ITV Calendar, the evening news programme produced by ITV Yorkshire, broadcasts for 30 minutes every night from 1800, to Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, north-western Norfolk, and parts of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. It covers regional news stories, features, sport and weather.

Tim is looking forward to working in a new news patch and increasing his skill set at ITV News.

Having worked mostly in digital journalism for Granada Reports, Tim will be increasingly working in broadcast journalism as an assistant producer, assistant news editor and bulletin producer.
