Mental health in journalism – an upcoming masterclass

Our October masterclass will focus on mental health, burnout, resilience and mental wellbeing.

It will take place at 18:30-20:00 on Tuesday 24th October. The masterclass will be virtual and all are welcome – you can get access to the zoom link by registering here.

The masterclass will feature two journalists who have had burnout, covered intense and potentially traumatising stories, and most importantly developed approaches they will share for balancing work and life:

  • Liz Hull – a journalist at the Daily Mail who recently covered the Lucy Letby trials.
  • Hannah Storm – co-founder of the Headlines Network and, speaker, journalist and author.

The Headlines Network recently released a guide for journalists and newsrooms on burnout, in conjunction with the charity Mind. You can read that here.
