Each year the John Schofield Trust works with the Royal Television Society to award a prize for the Emerging Talent of the Year.
This year the prize was won by Joshua Stokes, the Isle of Man correspondent for ITV Granada Reports.
Josh’s report on the 50th anniversary of the Summerland disaster on the Isle of Man explored a tragedy which had been all but forgotten.
This year the RTS Prize Jury was chaired by JST CEO David Stenhouse who said “The judges were all so impressed by the quality of Josh’s reporting, and his resourcefulness in telling this almost forgotten story from fifty years ago.”
