Josh Sandiford (2023) visited his mentor Romilly Weeks from ITV for a day of shadowing

Josh, a Senior Reporter at Birmingham Live, told us “the experience was eye-opening. I got to see what life was like in a busy newsroom on a day where huge stories were dominating the news agenda. I found it especially fascinating to witness how Romilly put together her news packages and live pieces to camera before they are broadcast across the country.

“Romilly was also kind enough to take me to visit ITV’s Westminster studios and the team’s office inside the House of Commons. It was a day packed with invaluable insight that would not have been possible without the Trust.”
