2022 Fellow Jessica Twist, a journalist and producer at ITV’s This Morning and previously with Good Morning Britain, was instrumental in setting up the Shamima Begum interview which has been nominated for a BAFTA in the ‘News Coverage’ award section. 

Jessica told us, “The interview took months of hard work and planning to produce. It was a sensitive and challenging interview that truly was a team effort. It made headlines and I’m over the moon that it’s been nominated for one of the highest honours in broadcasting. This is definitely a career highlight for me!”

Her mentor on the John Schofield Trust scheme this year, Senior Fellow Morwen Williams, said she was delighted to hear about the nomination and wished Jessica and team best of luck.
