One of this year’s mentees, Emma Purcell, gave a proportion of the money she raised from supporters of her blog, Rock for Disability, to the Trust.

Emma writes ‘Every year I raise money on my blog Rock For Disability and donate a proportion to a worthy charity. For 2020, I chose to donate to the John Schofield Trust because I think the organisation does amazing work in supporting young journalists and as a big thank you for accepting me onto the mentoring scheme in 2021. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at our virtual get together and meeting my mentor Bernadette Kitterick.’
