Current mentee Fran Rankin has just started her new role as a Producer for the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Her work will focus on making short films about climate change, tech & society and inclusive economies.  

She said: ‘I’m very excited to have joined TRF and I’m looking forward to telling some important stories. I’ve long admired their journalism for highlighting the human impact of big stories like climate change and tech and I’m looking forward to working with the team.’ 

‘My mentor Tom Clarke has been there every step of the way for me this year, from freelancing with The Economist and BBC Newsnight to going through rounds of interviews for the Thomson Reuters Foundation. His advice, support and friendship has made all the difference.’
