Huge congratulations to our former mentee and Channel 4 News reporter Anja Popp for winning the RTS Young Talent of the Year award on Wednesday evening. 

Anja said, “It was really flattering to be put forward by Channel 4 News in the first place, and even nicer to have been selected by fellow journalists outside of the programme. The mentoring and connections I made on the John Schofield Trust mentoring scheme helped me meet people who made me aspire to push myself further and my mentor encouraged me to put myself forward for things and step outside of my comfort zone. It’s great that there’s a place for young journalists to feel at home and get advice from people further ahead in their careers.”
