So what makes the Trust worth supporting? It’s the work that it does to open up newsrooms and journalism generally to a wider range of young people, people who aren’t always posh white middle class graduates
I support the John Schofield Trust because they are aiming to make our newsrooms better places full of people from different walks of life… bringing all perspectives to the stories that we tell, helping us serve our audiences better
I support the John Schofield Trust because of the brilliant work it does in mentoring and developing young journalists and pushing the cause of diversity in British newsrooms
We need more diverse newsrooms because we want to to tell everyone’s story, not just the privileged…. Why wouldn’t you want the brightest and best from across society telling our story?
